A institution of the Angelus is by occasionally ascribed to Pope Urban II, by some to Pope John XXII. A triple recitation is ascribed to Louis XI of France, who around 1472 ordered it to be said thrice day-after-day.

In a Republic of Ireland, the Angelus is broadcast nightly at Sise.00 pm on a TV channel RTE A single, prior to the Six-One News.

In The city of Monterrey, Mexico; the Angelus is broadcast every day in radio at 6:00 A.M., 12:00 noontide, & 6:00 P.M.

In The Philippines, radio stations process per Roman Catholic Church & a few religious orders play the Angelus at 6:00 A.M., 12:00 midday & at 6:00 P.M.

In a United States & Canada, a select few lay-do Catholic radio stations play the Angelus day-to-day.
